How stable is peek?

  Peek, also known as poly-ether-ether-ketone, is a kind of special engineering plastics with excellent performance. Compared with other engineering plastics, peek has many obvious advantages. It is widely used in our life because it can withstand positive high temperature of 260 degrees, and its performance is also quite excellent. So what kind of stability does peek have when it is used?

  First, the shrinkage rate of PEEK plastic injection molding is relatively small, which is beneficial to control the dimensional tolerance range of PEEK injection parts, and also makes the dimensional accuracy of PEEK parts much higher than that of general plastics. The most important thing is that the coefficient of PEEK thermal expansion is small and changes with the change of temperature, while the size of PEEK parts changes very little. This has achieved good stability for our work.

  Second, peek has good dimensional stability, that is to say, the dimensional stability of engineering plastic products during use or storage. This dimensional change is mainly caused by the curl of chain segments after the increase of activation energy of polymer molecules. It is still widely used in our life.

  Third, what we need to know is that peek has outstanding heat-resistant hydrolysis characteristics and low water absorption in high temperature and high humidity environment, so it is quite stable when used. In the real market, peek is also quite positive.
