1、Great performance on elongation and toughness
As a representative of high-perfrmance thermoplastic composite,CF/PEEK composite's fracture toughness can be up to 2.0 KJ/m,19 times more than epoxy resin.
2、Outstanding ability on anti-dilamination and fatigue resistance
PEEK has a good ability on impact resistance.It's one of the best heat-resistance resins that have a good ability on impact resistance.PEEK's regidity is high and more stable after shape formed,and linear expansion coefficient of it is low.So it can endure long-term use with no deformation.
3、Outstanding anti-corrosive performance on chemical
PEEK's chemical resistance is outstanding and can resist acid,alkali and almost all of the organic solvents.It can only be corroded by halogen and strong acid under high temperature and by concentrated sulfuric acid under normal temperature.
4、Outstanding humidity and heat resistance
PEEK has low moisture absorption rate. It can still keep its mechanical properties well under high temperature and moisture. It has an outstanding hydrolysis resistance and can resist steam,normal water and sea water.
5、Outstanding performance on slidding wear and fretting wear
PEEK can maintain high wear resistance and low friction factor at 250 ℃.
6、Biocompatibility
Research suggested that short carbon fiber enhanced PEEK can be implanted into animals'/plants' body,and poison is less than normal material.It can meet requirements of cytotoxicity index about medical implant materials and has a great blood and muscle tissue compatibility.
7、X-ray penetrable
PEEK has a good penetration ability,and will not create fake shadow like metal when scanning with X-ray and CT machines,convenient for medical inspection.
