The full name of FEP is fluorinated ethylene propylene, which is translated as fluorinated ethylene propylene copolymer (perfluoroethylene propylene copolymer). The English trade name is Teflon * FEP. It is a kind of chemical substance.
FEP is copolymerized with tetrafluoroethylene and hexafluoropropylene. The melting point of FEP crystallization is 304 ℃, and the density is 2.15g/cc (g / cm3).
FEP can be applied to soft plastics, and its tensile strength, wear resistance and creep resistance are lower than many engineering plastics.
FEP pipe is a soluble fluoroplastic pipe, which inherits most of the characteristics of other fluoroplastic pipes (PTFE pipes), and is easier to form. It can produce fluoroplastic pipes with long continuous length. Due to the solubility and ductility of FEP material, various forms of fluoroplastic pipes can be produced. FEP tube has high transparency and can observe the internal fluid transmission.
Purpose of FEP pipe:
1. Electronic insulation. FEP tube has excellent insulation characteristics and can be used as wire and cable insulation.
2. Chemical fluid conveying device. FEP tubes are resistant to most chemicals.
3. Underground sampling water pipeline. In groundwater analysis, FEP pipes are used to transport water. Due to the high purity of the material, the groundwater can be pumped to the surface through the hose without polluting the measured object and affecting the measurement results.
4. Heat shrinkable tube. FEP can also be produced as heat shrinkable tube and used as coating conveying roller in printing machinery. High surface quality prevents adhesion, contamination and discoloration of the material to be printed.
5. Medical industry. In the medical industry, FEP tubes are mainly used as catheters or in the field of endoscopy. It can also prevent the liquid transported during infusion from being polluted. Therefore, biocompatibility is also excellent for FEP in medical applications. FEP can be sterilized by all conventional methods.
6. Heat exchanger. FEP tube is used for heat exchanger, with long service life and simple welding.
7. Water treatment. Because FEP tube has anti ultraviolet ability and high transmission rate, it is very suitable to be used as UV spiral tube in water purification system. When pumped through the FEP spiral pipe, it is exposed to direct ultraviolet radiation. This can kill potential bacteria in the water, while the FEP tube is not affected. The pipe is wound around the UV lamp, and the liquid passes through the UV lamp during the cleaning process. This complex manufacturing process allows the final product to transfer a significantly increased amount of water to the effective area of radiation over an extended period of time. The method is also suitable for purifying polluted industrial water and treating polluted groundwater. Combined with modern filtration technology, drinking water quality can be achieved.
